Spring has sprung at the award winning Kew Bridge Steam Museum and that means a whole heap of fun for all the family. Young visitors should be especially eggcited as they are in for a treat during the coming Easter weekend, March 22nd - 24th where a great selection of Easter-related drop-in family activities are lined up including; an Easter egg hunt, egg painting, bonnet making, card making, quizzes and activity trolleys - free entry for children fifteen and under, but there is a £1.00 charge for materials.
The ’learn and earn’ Easter egg hunt will take place around the grounds ofthe museum, over the Bank Holiday weekend, where children take part in a quiz to gain Easter eggs and other prizes as rewards. This is also a Giants of Steam Weekend where the 90inch, Boulton & Watt and Maudslay beam engines will running. The focus of the weekend will be on the working life of the Victorian pumping station with specialised talks, behind the scenes tours of the original workshops, as well as standpipe tower tours: March 22nd, 23rd & 24th.
