General Information
Each year Kew Bridge Steam Museum welcomes groups from all over Britain and indeed the world. Groups range from members of the National Trust to enthusiast and special needs groups.
The nature of the museum allows for both self-led and museum-guided visits. You will find interpretation panels throughout the museum providing information on the history of the site to enable your group to explore at their own pace.
Should you want a tour of the museum, please indicate this on the booking form in the visit pack. Tours can focus on, or include, a specific interest such as the history of the water industry or the engineering invovled in the manufacture of the engines. The museum would be delighted to discuss your requirements regarding your tour.
There is a wealth of pubs and restaurants near to the museum, details of which are included in the pack. Alternatively the museum can arrange the provision of a sandwich lunch.
Pre-booked groups are entitled to a discounted rate, detailed in the pack, but they must book and pay in one sum in advance, in order to claim this special rate.
The museum also has a special group package, our Dickens tour, inspired by a visit made to the waterworks in 1850 by Charles Dickens. As an extra addition the museum is currently reviewing its joint package with Fullers Griffin Brewery, whose water was once supplied by the museum site.
