The operation of our magnificent collection of steam pumping engines is central to the museum and we are looking to recruit suitable people to train as rotative engine drivers. 
 
You will need to be available on Saturdays or Sundays and to go through an initial 6-day introductory course. This is arranged to run over 12 weeks ( i.e. one day per fortnight). If you successfully complete the course, then you will be rostered as a trainee driver and how long it takes to qualify depends on your progress.
