Spring has sprung at the award winning Kew Bridge Steam Museum and that means a whole heap of fun for all the family. Young visitors should be especially eggcited as they are in for a treat during the coming Easter holidays, April 3-13 where a great selection of free Easter-related drop-in family workshops are lined up including a scavenger hunt, quizzes and activity trolleys as well as dedicated Easter card making - free entry for children fifteen and under.
There will be a ’learn and earn’ Easter egg hunt around the grounds of the museum over the Bank Holiday weekend, 7th, 8th & 9th April, where children take part in a quiz to gain Easter eggs and other prizes as rewards, as well as the chance to encounter costumed characters from the museum’s past.
This is also the last chance to see the Design For Living exhibition, which contains an eclectic mix of labour saving devices and beautifully luxurious objects for the well to do home, such as a 1901 phonograph. Fascinating and humorous, this exhibition will intrigue and amuse and is a testament to our desire for an easier life!
