The Live Steam Model Railway Show chugs back into the Kew Bridge Steam Museum on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November. The star of the museum’s calendar, this show will entertain families and railway enthusiasts alike with scores of model railway trains puffing away under their own steam.
The show offers visitors a chugging good time, with a variety of model railway layouts, all of which have real steam engines running throughout the weekend. A great family day out with something for all ages, the show is FREE ENTRY for children.

Visitors can also enjoy a free ride around the museum grounds on the steam railway, with resident steam locomotive Cloister, and, for a small fee, on the Ickenham and District Society of Model Engineers miniature steam railway.  Experts will also be on hand to discuss tricks of the trade with those both new and experienced in railway steam modelling, to help indulge their hobby or interest further.

Model railway layouts confirmed to date include:

  • Kew Bridge, presented by the London Area Group of the 16MM Association
  • Mwch Grumblyn presented by the Guildford Model engineering society
  • Prayle Grove presented by Carol Grudon and Graham East

There will be a variety of stalls supplying the modeller with all the necessarymaterials for your very own garden railway, including a wide range of models, kits, drawings, photographs, specialist books and magazines and other steam related merchandise. As well as the layouts, the show will have many of the country's leading railway preservation societies represented.
