Fire fighting through the ages comes to life on Sunday 17th May when Kew Bridge Steam Museum hosts the Historic Fire Engine Rally. This unique museum, situated near Kew Bridge, was an early Victorian steam-powered water pumping station and provides a fascinating setting for the spectacle.
On display from 11am to 4pm will be an impressive collection of fire engines and hand operated pumps, ranging from 19th and early 20th century steam fire engines to the motor engines of yesteryear and today.
Displays and equipment will illustrate fire fighting through the ages, and demonstrations will bring it all to life. This event caters for all age groups and will make a great family day out. There will be opportunities to interact with some of the equipment - and for children to get very wet!
