Hold tight please: the Trams are back

Models of the old rattling trams, models of the swish new modern trams, big models needing a suitcase to carry them in, small matchbox-size models, plus model trams you can ride on, all will be at the 2009 Festival of Model Tramways at Kew Bridge Steam Museum on 18th and 19th July.

tramwaysThe fun starts at 11am and continues until 5pm. Admission prices for this show will be £8 for Adults; £7 for Concessions  (tickets valid for day of issue only). Free admission for children under 16 but they must be accompanied by responsible adults.

The working models will be matched by static displays, trade stands and a competition to find “Best in show”, plus the chance to find out 2how it’s done”.

The Museum’s waterworks steam railway will be giving rides and rides can also be had on the Wootton Tramway, visiting from the Isle of Wight (both subject to availability).
