Magic of Meccano returns in 2011

The Magic of Meccano Show is once again returning to Kew Bridge Steam Museum on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April 2011. Meccanomen from throughout London and as far afield as Europe will be exhibiting their extraordinary models against the fascinating background of the Kew Bridge Steam Museum’s collection of working steam engines.

The wondrous display of  Meccano models on show will include the ever-popular simple handle-turning models, a model of the Sydney Harbour Bridge being constructed, the Dornier flying boat, and a model of a Tornado fighter plane with a 10 foot wingspan!  This is a great day out for nostalgia-enthusiasts and families alike, with children getting the opportunity to have a go at making their own models and experiment.

To complete the day, why not ride on our steam railway which will be operating both days? The museum café will also be open serving hot and cold food and drinks, and other museum attractions will be running as usual.
