Steampunk has begun exerting a strong influence on high street and alternative fashion trends. The Fashion Punk weekend on 16th & 17th July will celebrate steampunk fashion from its roots to the present day in a fabulous setting surrounded by huge steam engines!
Over the course of the weekend we will be exploring and celebrating what makes a well dressed steampunk. With panel and workshop items you can learn more, ask questions or even contribute to the making of some new fashion pieces for inclusion in the Greatest Steampunk Exhibition. We will also have makers and traders so a chance to add that sought after item or accessory to your wardrobe. (Of course there will also be engines in full steam, rides on the steam train and tea duelling too.)
On Saturday and Sunday afternoon there will be a "Be Splendid Fashion Parade" - visitors are invited to show their outfits and costumes for the appreciation of the audience. Awards will be made to the best steampunk fashion outfits and best steampunk costumes.
On Saturday evening from 7.30 p.m. we also have our Steampunk Fashion Show. We have limited tickets available for a sequence of catwalk features showcasing steampunk fashion.
Admission to the Exhibition costs £9.50 for adults, £8.50 for OAPs and Students and £3.50 for children. Your ticket allows you to return as many times as you wish for a whole year.
