Modelling Mayhem, an exciting new exhibition
Ever wondered what it takes to fly a model helicopter, sail a model boat or the patience required to design and build your own model engine?
Kew Bridge Steam Museum is proud to host a celebration of the variety that is found in the modelling world with its new event Modelling Mayhem, being held on November 26th and 27th (11am to 5pm both days, with doors closing at 4pm).
Come along and marvel at ‘Abbey Road’, a 21foot long model of a fictitious London Underground station which has featured on ITV London/Sky’s ‘The Tube’ and ITV News; see the London 16mm’s new ‘Kew Bridge’ layout in operation with live steam train models; and the Hayes & District Model Aero Club hope to be demonstrating indoor helicopter flying and will be happy to discuss the merits of model plan flying. There will be traders supplying wares for your modelling and gift needs.
Last but not least there will be a special display of fan-designed and built costumes and large-scale models celebrating a much-loved sci-fi series that filmed an episode at the museum in the 1980’s. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, but why not come along to find out who our special guests are?.... do you think the images give a clue?...
