To celebrate the first season of the return to operating condition of the 150 year old Bull engine, Kew Bridge Steam Museum is offering thr steam enthusiast a weekend of in-depth study of Edward Bull and his engine.

  • Edward Bull - the man and his engines
  • The Bull engine and the Grand Junction Waterworks Company
  • The problems of restoring the engine and how they were overcome

This is the world's only operational Bull engine. The steam cylinder is 70 inches in diameter and the engine fills five levels of it's building. Participants will be allowed full access to all these levels,  two not normally open to visitors. The engine will be run and there will be photo opportunities. Lunch will be included.

A £10 discount is available for members of the Kew Bridge Engines Trust. Please quote your membership number when ordering.

Those attending the seminar will have free entry to the Steam Museum of the following day, Sunday.

The world's largest operational reciprocating engine will also be in steam at Kempton Park, 20 minutes drive away. Lifts in private cars to and from Kempton will be offered to those without their own transport.
