Tower & Old Workshop
The Standpipe Tower was built in 1867 and is the third to be built on the site. The Cornish engines pumped water up the Tower and today you can go inside it during the times listed above. The Old Workshop was built in 1838, but was seriously damaged by German bombs in 1918. During the times listed above you can visit the Old Workshop to see some of the machinery demonstrated and to find out more about its role in the working life of the site.
