New Locomotive Shed
The Museum's waterworks railway and locomotives have proved to be very popular over the years with visitors and we have plans to operate them more often. For some time we have wanted a larger shed to accommodate more of our rolling stock and to provide more room to carry out maintenance and repairs, including more efficient bunkering of coal and wood and ash disposal.
Our plan is to build a new 'two road' Locomotive shed in the Museum's car park in a modern style, which will provide the additional facilities we need.
