Giants of Steam running schedule
One weekend a month we run our magnificent Cornish pumping engines, during our Giants of Steam Weekends. The weekend has been designed to celebrate the life of the Victorian pumping station, and show you the true majesty of some of the largest working steam engines in the world.

Before the operation of each Cornish engine, a short talk about the site and engines will be given.

The Old Workshop was built in 1838, but was seriously damaged by German bombs in 1918. During the times listed above you can visit the Old Workshop to see some of the machinery demonstrated and to find out more about its role in the working life of the site.
